The service and who provides it
api.email is an email API for sending and receiving transactional email, provided by APPS34, société à responsabilité limitée (SARL),48 Rue Claude Balbastre, 34070 Montpellier, France (RCS Montpellier 944 081 553). "We" and "us" mean APPS34; "you" means the person or organisation using the service. By using api.email you agree to these terms.
Early access
api.email is in early access. Accounts are opened in batches, features and limits may change, and the service is provided without a service-level agreement. We may end early access with notice to the addresses on the early-access list.
Acceptable use
api.email is for transactional email: messages triggered by your users' actions or by events in their accounts. You agree not to:
- send unsolicited bulk email, or email to purchased, rented or scraped lists;
- send phishing, malware or content that impersonates someone else;
- send email that breaks applicable law, including anti-spam and data protection rules;
- circumvent rate limits, quotas or abuse protections, or use the service to attack other systems.
We monitor bounce and complaint rates to protect deliverability for everyone, and we may suspend sending that puts the service or other customers at risk. Where possible, we will contact you first.
Your account and API keys
You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret and for all use made with them. Revoke a key from the dashboard if it leaks. You must only send from domains you control.
Your data
You keep all rights to the content of the email you send and receive. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy, and for the retention periods stated in the documentation.
Fees
Free plans are free within their published limits. Paid plans are billed at the prices stated when you choose them and may change for future periods with notice.
Liability
The service is provided "as is" during early access. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the current version, and significant changes will be announced by email. These terms are governed by French law, and the courts of Montpellier have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country.
